Sri Lankan Womens Football team won the first Friendly encounter against the visiting Male Womens Football Team by 3 goals to 0 at Kelaniya Complex. There were even exchanges in the first 30 minutes of the play and in the 30th minute SriLAnkan forward Kumudu scored the first goal to makeit 1-0. Just in 10 minutes Sri Lankan women team scored the second through Praveena in the 38th minutes to keep the lead to 2 goals - 0. After the break the Male managed to hold the attacking Sri Lankan women till the last minute of the game but let loose at the 90th minute when the substitute Nalika Karunaratne found the net to seal the victory for the Sri Lankan President 1X team.

The group of the AFC Women's !9 Qualifying round will be held in Colombo at the City Football Complex Grounds on 7th 9th and 11th November 2014. There will be 3 countries in this group B with Sri Lanka, Palestine and Iran and the winner will advance to the next round.Sri Lanka team is coached by Shanika Rajapaksha and assisted by D.K.Samarasinghe.The team is camped at Sports Ministry Hostel and the team is practicing at City Football Complex.
Sri Lanka Under 14 Girls team opened the tournament with a good win beating Maldives 6-0 at Kathmandu, Nepal. Surenthiran Gowri opened the scoring at very early stage to take the lead and at half time the scores were 5 – 0 in favour for Sri Lanka.
